This DVD is a collection of five films on the Boeing 747 jumbo jetliner. First flown in 1969, the Boeing 747 was the first twin-aisle airliner, seating ten abreast in economy seating and 366-467 passengers in three travel classes. Pan Am, the first 747 customer, wanted an airliner 2 1/2 times the size of a 707 in order to reduce its seat cost by 30% to democratize air travel. Over 1558 Boeing 747 aircraft were produced from 1968 to present.

Film #1 - Boeing 747 Story - A Boeing film on the creation, development and testing of the Boeing 747. Shows a new factory that was built just for the 747. 1st flight was Feb. 9th, 1969. Runtime is about 18 minutes.

Film #2 - Boeing 747 Era - This Boeing film is about more flight testing of the 747 and working with the airlines to complete the aircraft based on their needs. Runtime is about 29 minutes.

Film #3 - Boeing E-4 AACP - aka The Night Watch, this Boeing 747 was developed as an E-4 Advanced Airborne Command Post by the USAF. The goal was to create a platform that could survive a EMP attack. Runtime is about 10 minutes.

Film #4 - The Cargo 747 - A collection of military films on the 747 being used as a rapid response cargo aircraft and a troop hauler. Runtime is about 13 minutes.

Film #5 - Land of the Morning - A great Pan Am film about the Philippine Islands by the amazing 747. Runtime is about 14 minutes.
