Talking to the World from Pan Am's Clippers by Francis Allan Chapman is a softcover book published in 1999, 127 pages in length and 11 x 8.5 x 0.25 inches in size. This book is an account of the experiences of Flight Radio Officer (FRO) Francis Allan Chapman flying Pan Am clipper planes and communicating via radio from 1939 to 1949.
The author flew the following Pan Am aircraft as an FRO: Sikorsky S-38A/B, Consolidated Commodore, Sikorsky S-40, S-40A, S-42, S-42A, S-42B, S-43, Martin M-130, Boeing 314, 314A.
A total of 163 mostly black-and-white photographs are included in the book to help tell the story of the author's position as FRO on Pan Am clippers. These photos show the many varied locations around the world that he visited, the radio equipment he used as well as the people that he met.
