Airports in both of the Koreas are among the most restricted in the world. However, we are pleased to bring you this rare look at Pyongyang Sunan International Airport in North Korea and Seoul Incheon Airport in South Korea.
Pyongyang Airport in North Korea is located about 15 miles away from the capital in Sunan. It has a new international terminal that was completed in 2011. Pyongyang Airport currently has two runways - one active 13,000 foot runway and one inactive runway.
Seoul Incheon Airport in South Korea is located about 30 miles west of the capital. Built in the late 1990s on reclaimed land joining two islands, it now ranks in the top ten as far as international passenger volume. There are three active runways at this airport.
