William Wyler's documentary "The Memphis Belle" is perhaps the most famous film to emerge from WWII. Wyler and Ed Steichen's "Thunderbolt!", a portrait of the P-47 fighter and the men who flew it, is every bit as important.

Filmed in color in 1944 and narrated by Hollywood favorite James Stewart, the movie shows "Operation Strangle", an effort to crush German supply lines during the Battle of Cassino in Italy.

• Fight For The Sky - 8th AF fighters (P-38s, P-51s, P-47s) in Europe. There is much air, gun camera and ground footage. Narrated by Ronald Reagan.
• A Day With The A-36s - The A-36 was the ground support version of the P-51 fighter with the original Allison engine (vs. the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine used for the P-51).
