The 323rd Bomb Group WW II B-26 DVD contains many rare films (some in spectacular color) on two discs that focus on the activities of the 323rd Bomb Group. The 323rd flew Martin B-26 Marauder medium bombers in the European Theater from 1943 to 1945.

Disc One - Total runtime of about 2 hours:

Film #1 - USA to Station 358 Earls Colne Essex England: 13 April 1944 - The 323rd relocated from the USA to a base in the southwestern part of England.

Film #2 - Missions: July 1943 to January 1944 - Missions flown from the Earls Colne base mainly into western Europe include the rail marshalling yards at Abbeville, France and the coke ovens at Ghent, Belgium.

Film #3 - Visitors Inspection Earls Colne: 13 April 1944 - The Undersecretary of War and other high-ranking officers from Washington visit the Earls Colne base on an inspection tour.

Film #4 - Pre-Invasion Activities: May-June 1944 - The 323rd flies missions to support the upcoming D-Day invasions of Europe on 6 June 1944.

Film #5 - Post-Invasion Activities: May-June 1944 - After D-Day, 323rd B-26s flew missions to destroy the V-1 launching and support sites, supported Allied ground offensives and bombed rail and road bridges.

Disc Two - Total runtime of about 90 minutes:

Film #6 - Denain Prouvy France: 9 February to 15 May 1945 - Due to rapid Allied advances, the 323rd moved to a new base close to the Belgium border.

Film #7 - 4th Combat Camera Unit: March 1945 - Kodachrome color film of the 323rd missions to the war's end. Includes ground and aerial footage of the Remagen bridge in Germany. Also, the 4th Camera Unit accompanied B-26s on many missions and there is much aerial footage taken from B-26s.

Film #8 - ME-262 Jet Base: 15 May 1945 - Erding Airbase was one of the bases used by the Germans for the ME-262A fighter jet in the late stages of WWII. See footage of American GIs as they inspect ME-262A jets found in varying conditions in the damaged hangers.
