This DVD is a collection of six films on the Douglas DC-8 airliner. First flown in 1958, the Douglas DC-8 was a four-engine jet aircraft with six-abreast seating that was built from 1958 to 1972.

Launched after the competing Boeing 707, the DC-8 kept a strong position in the airliner market, and remained in production until 1972 when it began to be superseded by larger wide-body designs, such as the Boeing 747.
