The descriptions "superb, magnificent, and overwhelming" even though vastly overused, cannot adequately do justice to the scenery on CP's Mountain Sub, the line over Rodgers Pass. The line runs through the Rockies and the Selkirks and is a formidable barrier even to today's high tech high horsepower locomotives. AC4400CW's and SD90MAC's challenge the grades, and big as they are, are dwarfed by the magnificent snow covered peaks. The sub runs from Field to Revelstoke, British Columbia, through some of the most spectacular scenery on the continent. All the famous locations, including both old and new Stoney Creek bridges, and the Mount MacDonald and Shaugnessy tunnels.
